Day 01: Begin your 2-night, 3-day trek from Pokhara to Australian Camp. After breakfast, embark on a scenic one-hour drive to Kande, a charming Gurung village along the Pokhara-Baglung highway. A 2-hour trek leads you to Australian Camp at 2,100m/6,900ft, offering breathtaking views of the Annapurna mountain range, including peaks like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna II, and Lamjung Himal. Enjoy the rest of the day taking in the natural beauty and mountain vistas.

 

Day 02: Witness a stunning sunrise over the Himalayan peaks from Australian Camp. After breakfast, trek for about 1.5 hours to reach Dhampus, a picturesque Gurung village at an altitude of 1,700m. Dhampus boasts slate-roofed houses, a Buddhist monastery, and panoramic views of the Annapurna range.

 

Day 03: Trek from Dhampus to Astam (1,400m), a village renowned for its spectacular sunrise and sunset views of the Annapurna range, as well as its rich local cultures and traditions. The trail passes through villages, taking approximately 3 to 4 hours. Enjoy lunch on the way or upon reaching Astam. Farming is the primary livelihood here, with a notable middle school on the hill for village children. Accommodation, lunch, and dinner will be provided at a local teahouse. Optionally, you can trek to Phedi (2 hrs.) and drive to Pokhara. After breakfast, either drive or continue trekking for an additional hour to reach the highway, where private transportation will take you back to Pokhara, concluding the trek in approximately 30 minutes.
